I know this isn't exactly a current film, but Chocolat has some of my favorite costumes of all time. Renee Ehrlich Kalfus did such an amazing job. If only I had a whole closet full of dresses, blouses, skirts, and twin sets like these. And I fully intend to.
I'm on a clothes-buying-freeze right now. I promised myself I wasn't going to buy new clothes until I get closer to my weight-loss goal. But I will indulge in some cardigans and summer dresses in a few months. I just gotta keep with it, so far so good. When I finally do go shopping, I'll be prepared. I keep a folder of "inspirational" photos on my iPhone to help me stay in line with what I want.
I'm a fabric person. It's so easy for me to get wrapped up in how something feels or how the fabric hangs that I don't always pick the best items for me. I've posted about this before. I end up with a lot of funky accent pieces, but no basics with which to make an outfit. I'm hoping that using my "inspirational" iPhone photo folder will solve this problem.
